Fire TV Stick Review

Fire Stick
The Fire TV Stick has changed the way that I watch TV. I hardly ever watch live TV now. Most of the time I watch TV on my Fire TV stick. On it I mainly watch Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube but occasionally use the BBC iPlayer, ITV X, and All 4 apps. There are many more apps to choose from. Subscription fees apply for some apps but the free ones are good enough for me. One free app that I love is NASA TV. You can watch live launches and onboard the International Space Station.

Although I generally only use my Fire TV Stick for watching TV, you can use Firefox or Silk to browse millions of websites like Facebook and Reddit. I listen to music through Amazon Music, and the free version of Spotify, but Apple Music and TuneIn are also available. Subscription fees may apply.

On the Fire TV Stick you can even play games like Sonic the Hedgehog. Some apps you have to pay for but others are free.

Fire TV Stick can also be used to view live camera feeds from compatible cameras such as external security cameras and video baby monitors.

I found it very easy to install. I just plugged it into the back of my TV, selected my WiFi, and entered my password. All done. I downloaded the Netflix app, logged into my account and could immediately a movie. you can soon be streaming your favourite movies and TV episodes. You can listen to music and podcasts through services like Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and TuneIn.

It is even better with Prime Video. Prime Video gives you popular movies and a TV programmes, live events and sports. I think that the best part of Prime Video is the exclusive Prime Original programmes such as The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel, and The Grand Tour. If you are like me and are a Star Trek fan, you will not want to miss Star Trek: Picard. Prime Video normally costs £8.99/month but is currently available to try for free for 30 days. The Fire TV Stick is available from Amazon for £34.99 or you can get the 4K version for £64.99 (18/6/23) from Amazon.
